Urgent Support Needed: Mobile Clinic
PSST operates 16 clinics, two community hospitals, and one sanatorium, providing critically needed healthcare services to vulnerable children, mothers, and families across Haiti.
Through these clinical hubs, religious Sisters work alongside healthcare professionals to bring compassionate care to some of the country's most underserved communities, with a particular commitment to serving those who are most vulnerable.
The Sisters' healthcare ministry addresses both immediate medical needs and the long-term health of the communities they serve. PSST is seeking support to provide essential medical supplies and equipment, strengthen healthcare facilities, and train healthcare workers, traditional birth attendants, and Community Health Workers (CHWs) who can provide care within their own communities.
The ministry also supports the distribution of food supplements and nutrition programs, helping address nutritional needs among vulnerable children and mothers. These efforts are especially important in communities where families face significant barriers to accessing consistent healthcare and adequate nutrition.
Strengthening Our Healthcare Facilities
Many PSST healthcare centers currently lack basic medical equipment, adequate sanitation, and essential supplies. These limitations make it difficult for healthcare workers to provide the quality of maternal and child healthcare that communities need.
With the support of partners and donors, PSST can strengthen these facilities, equip healthcare workers, expand community-based care, and help ensure that mothers and children receive essential medical and nutritional support closer to home.
